Prentiss Madison is committed to preserving the integrity of our classrooms. He believes in a non-partisan educational environment and stands against the introduction of specific political ideologies. He opposes the incorporation of certain controversial topics in the curriculum, is against defunding the police, and opposes tax hikes.
Supporting Educators
Prentiss will collaborate with fellow school board members to ensure our educators receive the necessary support. He is dedicated to enhancing the retention of BISD educators by advocating for competitive compensation, attractive incentives, and robust classroom resources.
Transparency in Governance
Prentiss champions transparency in the school board's operations. While he acknowledges the occasional need for closed sessions, he believes that the majority of the school district's affairs should be conducted openly, ensuring accountability and community involvement.
Fiscal Responsibility
As a business owner, and former councilman, Prentiss Madison views the school district as a business entrusted to the board by the taxpayers. He is concerned about the bureaucratic nature of BISD and its management of the substantial budget. Prentiss is committed to instilling greater fiscal discipline and efficiency in the BISD board's operations.
